Hellifield is a village in North Yorkshire, England
At the 2011 census, it had a population of 1,426.
Although small, it has a
general store, a fish and chip shop, a couple of car mechanics, a hair
dressers', a pub and a social club. For recreation, there is a table
tennis club, a badminton club, a bowls club (for those less energetic),
a flower arranging group, a writers' group, a reading group and there
are regular village walks in the surrounding coutryside. For the
faithful, there's a CofE Church and a Methodist Chapel. There are bus
services (as long as you don't want one on a Sunday) and regular
railway connections East, West and North from the historic railway station. You
can just see the Flying Scotsman in the image above, although the usual
connections are via diesel trains.
